Selected atrophic scars may improve as fractional treatment supports collagen remodeling. Scar type, tethering, active acne and skin tone affect the plan.

When texture is the problem, ResurFX creates controlled fractional treatment zones below an intact surface to support gradual collagen remodeling.
Selected atrophic scars may improve as fractional treatment supports collagen remodeling. Scar type, tethering, active acne and skin tone affect the plan.
Fractional collagen remodeling may soften selected fine lines and improve the way light reflects from textured skin.
ResurFX can be used when surface irregularity, enlarged-looking pores or photodamage-related texture is the central concern.
Selected surgical scars or stretch marks may be considered after the scar’s age, color, thickness and location are assessed.

ResurFX is a fractional laser within the Lumenis M22 platform. Fractional means the device treats microscopic zones while leaving surrounding tissue untreated. Non-ablative means it delivers energy below the surface without removing the entire outer layer of skin.
The controlled treatment zones trigger a wound-healing response and collagen remodeling. Because only a fraction of the area is treated in a session, improvement builds progressively and a series may be more appropriate than one aggressive visit.
Acne scars are not all the same. Rolling, boxcar, ice-pick, tethered and raised scars respond differently, and color left after acne is a separate problem from physical depth. ResurFX may help selected atrophic scars and broader texture, while deeper or tethered scars can require another procedure or combination plan.
Fine lines, rough texture, enlarged-looking pores, surgical scars and stretch marks may also be considered. Vanessa evaluates the concern, skin tone, healing history and expected recovery before selecting energy, density and treatment pattern.
Redness, warmth, swelling, dryness and a sandpaper-like texture can occur after treatment. The surface may feel rough before it looks smoother. Diligent sun protection and gentle skincare are important while the skin recovers.
Collagen change is gradual. Standardized photographs taken under consistent lighting provide a more honest measure than checking the skin every day. The final number of sessions depends on scar type, area, settings and individual response.
Fractional, non-ablative treatment of texture, scars and collagen-related concerns.
The surface remains intact, but redness, swelling and a dry or rough feeling can still occur during recovery.
Selected brown pigment and vascular redness rather than physical scar depth.
IPL is light-based tone correction. It does not replace fractional resurfacing when texture is the main issue.
A mechanical collagen-remodeling approach with an autologous platelet preparation used as part of the plan.
The FDA has not reviewed microneedling devices for delivery of PRP or other blood products. Benefits, limits and off-label use should be discussed.
What to expect
Vanessa identifies whether the concern is physical texture, color or a combination.
Energy, density, pattern and treatment area are selected for your skin and recovery tolerance.
Collagen-related improvement develops over weeks and is reassessed across the recommended series.

Candidacy
A consultation confirms candidacy. These points help you understand the kind of patient the treatment may suit.
Planning your investment
Cost depends on the area, intensity and number of sessions in the plan. Treating a small scar is different from resurfacing the face, neck or a larger body area.
The consultation establishes whether ResurFX is likely to produce meaningful improvement on its own or whether another modality should be considered first.

No. ResurFX is a non-ablative fractional 1565 nm laser. It treats microscopic zones below an intact surface rather than removing the entire outer layer of skin.
It may improve selected atrophic acne scars and broader uneven texture. Scar type, depth, tethering, active acne, skin tone and prior treatment affect whether it is the right option.
IPL primarily targets selected brown pigment and vascular redness. ResurFX is a fractional laser used for texture, scars, fine lines and collagen remodeling.
Redness, swelling, warmth, dryness and a rough texture can occur for several days. Exact recovery depends on the area, settings and individual skin response.
Many patients benefit from a series. The number and spacing depend on the concern, treatment intensity and how your skin responds.
Some surface change can be noticed as the skin recovers, but collagen remodeling continues over the following weeks and months. Progress is assessed across the treatment series.
