What HRT and BHRT mean

Hormone replacement therapy uses prescribed hormones to address clinically appropriate symptoms or deficiencies. Bioidentical hormone therapy refers to hormones with the same chemical structure as those produced by the body.

The word “bioidentical” does not make a treatment automatically safer or right for everyone. Product, dose, route, medical history, and monitoring all matter.

Why evaluation comes first

Symptoms can have more than one cause. A thoughtful evaluation considers health history, current medications, risk factors, and relevant laboratory testing before treatment is discussed.

At Dermalier, recommendations are individualized and monitored over time. When another level of care is more appropriate, referral or collaboration is part of responsible treatment.

What to expect at a consultation

Bring a current medication list and be ready to discuss symptoms, timing, prior treatment, and goals. Vanessa will explain possible next steps, what monitoring may be needed, and the benefits and risks relevant to you.
