What this treatment can help with.

Botox and Dysport can soften the lines that make you look tired, tense or upset. Vanessa studies how your face moves, listens to how much change you want and plans a result that keeps your expression.

Common concerns

  • Forehead and frown lines
  • Crow’s feet and bunny lines
  • Lip flip and chin dimpling
  • Jawline slimming, clenching, and TMJ concerns
  • Excessive sweating

Why patients choose it

  • A quick, non-surgical appointment
  • Minimal downtime for most patients
  • A plan tailored to your facial movement
  • Results that typically develop over 7–14 days

Vanessa’s approach

Movement first. Units second.

Vanessa assesses your face at rest and while you frown, smile, squint and lift your brows. That movement map shows which muscles are creating the line and which muscles are supporting expression or brow position.

The plan is built around the change you want. Some patients want a very soft result with visible movement. Others want stronger correction in one area. Dose, placement and product are chosen after that conversation, not before it.

Treatment planning

Where this treatment may help.

The right area depends on the cause of the concern, your anatomy and whether this treatment is the safest useful tool.

01

Forehead and brows

Horizontal forehead lines must be planned together with brow position and the muscles that lift the forehead. Treating the lines without considering that balance can create heaviness.

02

Frown lines

The muscles between the brows can create vertical “11” lines or a tense expression. Botox or Dysport can temporarily soften that repeated movement.

03

Crow’s feet

Careful placement around the outer eyes can soften lines created by smiling and squinting while preserving the warmth of your smile.

04

Lower face details

Selected patients may discuss a lip flip, chin dimpling, downturned corners or a gummy smile. These uses require precise assessment because small doses can influence speech, smile or oral function.

05

Masseter and jaw tension

Treatment may be considered for prominent masseter muscles or jaw-clenching symptoms. It does not replace dental or specialist evaluation when pain, joint problems or tooth damage need broader care.

06

Excessive sweating

Botulinum toxin may reduce sweating in selected areas when medically appropriate. Candidacy, dose and expected duration are discussed separately from facial treatment.

01

How neuromodulators soften dynamic wrinkles

Botox and Dysport are prescription neuromodulators used to temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity. They are best known for treating dynamic lines, the creases created by repeated expressions such as squinting, frowning or raising the eyebrows. As the selected muscles relax, the skin above them can appear smoother while untreated muscles continue to move normally.

The product is only one part of the result. Dose, placement, facial anatomy, muscle strength, and the balance between neighboring muscles all matter. That is why Dermalier begins with an assessment of your face at rest and in motion rather than applying the same injection pattern to every patient.

02

Botox or Dysport: choosing by anatomy, not trend

Botox and Dysport work in similar ways, but their formulations, dosing units, onset, and diffusion characteristics are not interchangeable. One is not universally better. Vanessa considers the treatment area, the strength and shape of your muscles, your previous response, and how much movement you want to retain before recommending a product.

A conservative plan can soften forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet without flattening the personality of your expressions. Neuromodulators may also be considered for concerns such as a gummy smile, lip flip, chin dimpling, jaw clenching, or excessive sweating when clinically appropriate.

03

What keeps the result looking natural

Treating one muscle group can influence another, especially across the forehead and brow. Dermalier looks at brow position, eyelid support, symmetry, and habitual expression before deciding where not to inject as carefully as where to inject. The goal is a rested, proportionate result that still looks like you.

Results are temporary and develop gradually. A follow-up may be appropriate after the treatment has fully settled, particularly for a first visit or when building a new plan. Maintenance timing is individualized rather than automatically placing every patient on the same schedule.

Choose the right tool

Botox or Dysport?

Similar-sounding treatments can solve different problems. This is how Vanessa separates them during consultation.

OptionBest suited toWhat to know
Botox Cosmetic

Temporary improvement of selected expression lines with a familiar, established product.

Botox and Dysport units are not interchangeable. Onset, dose and response vary by patient and treatment area.

Dysport

Temporary improvement of glabellar frown lines and other selected concerns when Vanessa determines the product fits the plan.

Some patients notice change within several days. Final assessment still waits until the treatment has had time to settle.

Dermal filler

Volume, contour or structural support rather than muscle-created lines.

Filler and neuromodulators solve different problems. Treating the wrong cause can add product without improving the concern.

Treatment is quick, and results settle gradually over the following days.

The real timeline

What happens after the appointment.

Early swelling or redness is not the result. Here is when the treatment becomes meaningful to evaluate.

  1. Treatment day

    Small injection points

Temporary bumps, redness, tenderness or bruising can occur. Most patients return to routine activities the same day.

  2. Days 2–5

    Early change

Movement may begin to soften. The two sides can develop at slightly different speeds during this early window.

  3. Days 7–14

    Result assessment

The treatment is evaluated after it has settled. A follow-up may be appropriate for a first visit or a newly designed plan.

  4. Around 3–4 months

    Movement returns gradually

Duration varies with dose, area, muscle strength and individual response. Maintenance timing is personalized.

Appointment guidance

How to prepare and care for your result.

These general guidelines support a better consultation. Your individual instructions may differ.

Preparing for consultation

  • Share your medical history, allergies, medications, supplements, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, and prior neuromodulator experience.
  • Plan treatment with enough time before a major event for the result to settle and any temporary bruising to resolve.
  • Arrive with the treatment area clean when practical; photographs and facial-movement assessment may be completed first.

Aftercare and follow-up

  • Follow the personalized instructions provided at your appointment.
  • Avoid rubbing or applying firm pressure to treated areas immediately afterward.
  • Contact Dermalier promptly if you experience an unexpected or concerning symptom.

Candidacy

Who may be a good fit?

A consultation confirms candidacy. These points help you understand the kind of patient the treatment may suit.

It may fit if

  • You want to soften expression lines without surgery.
  • You understand that the effect is temporary and develops gradually.
  • You are comfortable discussing how much movement you want to keep.
  • You can follow aftercare and return for reassessment when recommended.

Treatment may need to wait

  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Infection or inflammation at a planned injection site
  • Certain neuromuscular conditions or a history of swallowing or breathing difficulty
  • A prior serious reaction to a botulinum toxin product or one of its ingredients

Planning your investment

What determines Botox or Dysport cost?

Cost depends on the product, number of areas, muscle strength and dose required to reach the agreed goal. A small lip-flip plan and treatment for several strong upper-face muscles are not priced the same because they are not the same treatment.

Vanessa maps the plan before treatment and explains the recommended dose and total. Dermalier does not choose a dose simply to fit a promotional number of units.
